Jack Phillips and the Wedding Cake
The case goes back to when a same-sex couple visited a bakery in Colorado, namely Jack Phillips. At the time, gay marriage was not recognized in Colorado and so they wanted a wedding cake for their reception. And he explained that he could not create this cake for them because he has a religious opposition to same-sex marriage. So they filed a charge with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission to compel him.
