The Circle of Security

It definitely takes practice and, you know, the beautiful thing about the circular security program that professionals can go through is that there is lots of examples. Particularly with babies, it's really important to remember that they have a slower transmission of nerve pulses so sometimes that can be quite a lag. I think it's very easy for us to see something going on with a child and you very quickly want to respond - but what we try and teach care is to just step back,. take a moment to look, to listen, what's actually going on for that child.
