The Last Year of the Buddha's Life

Buddha's last teachings are part of one of the great myths of humankind. The text is a guidance to practice how the Buddha wanted to leave the community. It takes place in the ancient forests of India when it was really forested and there were many tigers. And so here's the question: Why didn't the Buddha just say, we don't kill people?
