In the West in Christendom, it was a social collective. The Reformation and the Counter Reformation during the 16th century and 17th century was really a process of strengthening Christianity at the mass level. In Korea, it was like, you know, cut and paste transferred. And there's some things happening in China right now with Christian evangelical groups that are kind of trying to import American sensibilities.
