The Cost of Insulin

When he was on insulin, it wasn't the insulin itself that was so high priced. The syringes were the more expensive one of the type and back then you didn't need to go to your pharma or to your doctor to get a prescription for stuff. So moving ahead, the cost was not that high either back then. It's got out of hand, it has through the drug and pharmaceutical companies for the manufacturer that producing insulin. That's what's increased the cost of that insulin so much. Some people may not be fortunate enough, may not have the insurance or may not be able to get Medicare and Medicaid for what situations they may be in.
