Artificial intelligence is assisting doctors, not replacing them. But in some places where resources are even sparser, help is even further away. The kind of systems Obermeyer is talking about don't so much raise the prospect that AI might replace doctors. More perhaps that AI can help them avoid their blind spots and crunch data to allow them to predict outcomes better.
