Is There a Mouse Like Object?

The mouse that we currently have in the lab, the typical mice, come from mice that were selected for bizarre coat colors and sizes. They are then inbred for hundreds of generations so that they're absolutely genetically identical to one another. And i got very interested and how does that affect all the experiments, not just in aging, but in cancer, in alseimer's disease. I mean, itis about as bizarre a creature from a zoological perspective as you can imagine. So i agree with the people who said we need to really avoid this kind of reliance on such a bizarre creature.
