Amazon is a fascinating question here. Amazon was rewriting truly hundreds and then thousands of different job descriptions to focus on the metaverse theme. I don't think it's a coincidence that the company which was most displaced on the operating system layer now believes in openness. Microsoft has made a public commitment in a letter dedicated to regulators to essentially unbundle the entirety of their hardware ecosystem, including the Xbox platform. It's primarily upstarts that are going to be the advocates for change, building the standards that can move faster.
