Do I focus on financial benefits of my job or the work that I'm doing? Or do I focus on the social responsibility? My impact. How do I better the world? As the dean of a business school, I can't stand that question because they should be synergistic and we've seen amazing leaders learn how to do both. By being sustainable, you reduce waste. You're more efficient. That means you reduce costs, which increases profit. And by being socially responsible, you have a whole host of customers who say, I will rather choose a firm that's sustainable.
