Grounding Is Being Present Right Now
For me, grounding is being present in your body right now. And the way that I help people ground themselves is just have them take in a breath, hold it for a bit, a little bit of discomfort, and then let it out with a sigh. If they're sitting, feel their bottom in the chair, feel the back of their legs on the chair, you know, move back and feeling the back of the chair,. Feel their feet on the floor, see where they are in space and time. Breathe in again and sigh. Grounding is just being here now.
