The Big Other's Desirousness
The capital S next to the parens with the A in it. This right here is a signifier of the big other's lack. To love for Lacan is to give someone else what you yourself don't have. And I would just suggest as we look toward the end of tonight's session that this is exactly why Lacan brings up love on page 108 at the bottom.
