Is There a Path to Getting Into EHR Systems?

It seems like hospitals and hospital systems don't like paying for like loads of individual tools. So I wonder if the kind of path to do this is to do one small thing really well and then get acquired by one of the big EHR systems. Because you can't see something like this being standing on its own. What do you think? There's definitely some truth to that.
