Is There a Difference in Philosophy?

My favourite first sentence in the entire history of novels is from sweet frances. You cannot live will be an indian without having both grandi and meru come over, even to debate among themselves. In alie, which hated person would you call? Aha, ha, would't. I wouldn't say actually hate somebody, but somebody whom you felt you saw doing something that you couldn't forgive or treat them like a human being. We never know the foll story. Who knows the full story? That's the whole, the whole logic of the novel.
