The Court of Appeal in the Case of Rebekah Vadi's Phone
The court relied on an authority from 1721 which was that if a wrongdoer has parted with relevant evidence the court may draw adverse inferences in this case it was because rebekah vadi's phone very unfortunately found its way to the bottom of the north sea so that potentially decided evidence couldn't be considered by the court.
