Alice Moore ran for school board because she wanted to make schools more traditional, more conservative. After Alice Moore objected to the new curriculum, rumors spread through the county. There were paper flyers passed around by parent groups that claimed the new books promoted reverse racism and criminality. The vote is three to two; they decide to buy most of the textbooks.
