Religion in the Middle Ages

Ray Ray: What would be different if you were transported back to the middle ages? There? I think many of the misconceptions that people have about the middle ages have to do with the role of religion. We tend to assume that religious power is by definition bad, wen in it introduced too great an element of super ition and invisible faith into the political process. But i don't think we should necessarily look down on the middle ages as being particularly stupid because religion was embedded in the world. And every society has its own assumptions and beliefs which are not real and changes overtime.
