The Struggles of a Social Enterprise
LZ Granderson: How did you realize that there was an opportunity to actually build something bigger in this space? LZ: It goes like this. We have a social enterprise and it's a partnership between two organizations that we founded. One is our for-profit construction company that does this work, another is a nonprofit that we set up to run the Silver Houses. And so we are absorbing a whole lot of what you might call programmatic costs in that model.
