Where Is Junk Space?
All modernism, all kind of post-war modernism was often about trying to rest as a certain sculptural poetry from the use of repeated industrial elements. Whereas in junk space all of that has disappeared every single part of junk space is in this sort of Darwinian competition with every other part of it. In some ways the old-fashioned shopping mall is kind of dying. The out of towner is going. But what you have now is this kind of simulated urban space which is actually a mall. Spiddlefields pushes that right to the end. I mean it is basically a mall but the mall has kind of gone under the skin of the city in these places.
