The Problem With Rule Following in Behavior Activation
The main problem with act is rule following that leads to an excessive narrowing of repertoire. People are basically using the same basic behavioral strategies, even though those things don't work. And you can see how these things kind of come together because that's exactly what Neil was talking about in different terms. Now I think you just have to know how to get people to try something different.
