Charles I was not executed by the parliamentarians. They came to an arrangement where he was supposed to be just a king in name, and they would have their parliament. But Charles couldn't accept that and believe that he had a divine right - so there was another civil war. The second time around, they didn't give him any mercy,. And they cut his head off. So that was when we'd had our revolution. We did it first, everyone. How proud are we? We cut our king's head off first.
