What's the Tenser Tympany?
There is a muscle in your ear that protects you from yourself. If we didn't have it, the sound of our own chewing would overtime deafen us. It's called the tenser tympany. When it contracts, it does something to your eardrum to make it basically not be able to hear as well. A short loud noise is more dangerous than a prolonged loud noise.
