The Supreme Court Isn't Showing Away From Big Political Arguments This Year
The court has not taken on a major second amendment case in more than a decade, and it has said almost nothing about the right to bear arms in public. So this ruling could free up millions of gun owners in new york and, i think, six other populous blue states to more easily tot their weapons around in public. The justices are also mulling whether to take cases involving union rules, the power of the e p a, and also a showdown at harvard university over affirmative action. But the court doesn't seem to be showing away from big political arguments this year.
