The Challenges of Right of Passage
The challenge is that most people when they say hey I'm really good at this their teachers growing up belittle them. Most people don't have the kind of friend group that can make sense of what you're intuitively doing and steer you in a more productive place. It's extremely rare to have friends who root for your success until you're equal to them but once you go beyond them they'll try to pull you down. That's why friend groups are so important. When you share your ideas in public you massively increase the chances of finding people who can help you work through the imperceptibility that you were talking about.
