How to Twitter in a Meaningful Way
I think it's a mistake not to get on Twitter because there's so much stuff coming. The hard question is how active do you want to be in the chaos and brutality of becoming act an act of voice? You got to realize that there's a cost of this. And then there's this sort of higher level cost that you may be making the world a worse place. I'm with, there's always exceptions. We could argue with the exceptions, but I think most people deserve to be treated with more respect than asking people for their tweets. What about academic Twitter? Every day I find a cool paper somebody mentions. I just put in my bookmarks and look at it later.
