The Aqueducts of Rome

Tiberius wanted to redistribute land among the poorer men of Rome. Redistributing land will give them a stake in the republic and support the military. But his plan is unpopular with the landowning senate. When he seeks re election, the patricians claim that he is accumulating too much power. He is murdered in a riot and thrown into the tiber. His younger brother tries to finish what he started by demanding citizenship for all latin people. In death, the gracke brothers are upheld as martyrs for the poor. And so gaiuss opponents call for his death. Whoever brings gaius's head will earn its weight in gold.
