Is There a Movement in Surgery?

The idea that you do five years of general surgery training and then match into cardiac surgery is being phased out. Cardiac surgery decided screw you guys in general surgery, you can do one year of general surgery and thenmatch into cardiac surgery. Vascular surgery is considering going down. And recently I was in a situation where I was consulting on some patient and working with the fellow. And basically the options were mild, medium or hot. We could go with the hot stuff, but it has a lot of side effects. We went with the mild stuff. So this is the movement is what you're saying. All right, we'll go to the second top.
