Networking - Is There a Way to Get to Know Someone?

Don't go into a networking event expecting that you need to say something interesting. Just ask people what they do and people love to talk about themselves. If you want to be a speaker, block out some time to plan what you're going to talk about. Ask somebody for referrals. Take action on this advice. It'll get so much easier the third or fourth time.
