How Do We Recognize the Seriousness of Being Human?

When there is an abundance of materialistic thoughts in the collective atmosphere, that's constantly impinging upon you as an individual. And so we find ourselves with a thought that then gets taken downte into the you knowit in a way awakens a feeling to an action that ultimately ends ut being more materialistic. But if you can catch the thought there and make the adjustment, if you can make the right adjustment in the thinking process it will change your life for the better. So when we're working with any thought, that's any event or thought process, how do we not reject the reality and the fact, but understand that there is another dimension that is missing from it?
