Losing Weight in Hollywood
Sylvia always worked, helping to support her family by performing massage treatments and body sculpting services. Her first notable client in Chicago was Julius Rosenwald, a co-owner of the Sears department store who hired Sylvia to help his grandmother recover from a fall. She began treating Hollywood clients out of her home during the same year that the first partial sound picture was released, Warner Brothers Don Juan. Later, Sylvia credited the talkie revolution as key to her career.
