The term autism first emerged in 1911 and it was actually used to describe some symptoms of schizophrenia. In the 1940s, that's really when the idea of Asperger's or autism was kind of introduced into common parlance. For me, it's like, oh, I can see that twig at 500 meters. Yeah, sometimes it is like, how can people not see that?
