The Effects of Housing on the Water Cycle in Southern Europe
In southern Europe the runoff has sort of half in many of the basins. I started looking at it, I found why the storms are lost and there is a competition between housing along the coastal areas and agriculture. If you do housing you change the characteristics of the air that comes in with the debris and you kill the summer storms. So people are requesting water but at the same time they're making the moves to kill the water cycle. And that of course propagates down to the upper scales as well.
