In an essay in the Atlantic, Julian Zelizer argued black people are not to blame for our disproportionate rates of deaths as a result of COVID-19. He says that many Democrats who were quoted blaming black people - and they're all liberals - aren't allowing black imperfection. "To eliminate that disparity would require reparations program," he said.
