Gertrandauer was the first time a British head of state had sat on the floor and listened to a hymn from the Gertrandt Sahib, which is our Sikh holy book. Eric then took his majesty to what is called a reconciliation village nearby. I wanted his magist to have a good understanding of what Lily went on during those days of genocide. But more importantly, what has happened since. There he was meeting people who obviously had incredible and very disturbing testimonies. He was able to listen and also to ask questions. And in the end, you could see he was a lived, you know, man to be able to have experience at that moment.
