After all these years of study in bats, i am still discovering really cooln new things about their intelligence. The pup, when it's first born, has what appears to be like a safety line, like an astronaut getting out of a vehicle in space. And the umbilical cord is like a leash, so that if he falls, he can't really go very far. But they stay attached for fair while. This pup joins a cluster of up to 500 pups in a square foot. There are thousands of square feet covered by pups
