I would recommend personally is a broad link IR blaster. If you want to go for the IR route. The macros are kind of flaky as in like it just sends a command. And it assumes that it was listened to and heard. Depending on what that device is that you're sending the command to and how it's programmed that command may actually end up doing the inverse of what you hope for so depending on.
