What Is Modern China?
Modern china began in the middle of the nineteenth century, at the end of the opium war in 18 forty two. In a in contrast to that, for about 30 years or so, the modern china begins somewhere in the seventeenth century. The field has gone back and forth between looking at the external influences and making dramatic changes in china.
