Ignoring Stress Is Really Bad for You
Catastrophizing your stress is like even worse for you. You're not just stressed about the situation itself but you start to become really anxious about your stress. What we need to do is remove that top layer of anxiety and just tell ourselves to actually be even if I'm stressed. Temporary spike in cortisol is actually sharpening my thinking and keeping me on my feet so I'm not sleeping and drowsing and boring. Just acknowledging that as uncomfortable as it is actually there are these benefits, he says.
