Christmas Carols by Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens' Christmas story The Pickwick Papers was first published in December 1843. Over the following year there would be 13 editions printed. In short it was a smash hit and Dickens had cemented himself as part of the mid-Victorian era revival of Christmas. We have him to thank today for our own festive spirit around this time. If you do not already have a Christmas tradition that involves reading through Dickens's story then I would implore you to take it up.
