The Double Factor Problem in Relationships

All of the avatars in this show are seeing cautionary and prescriptive ways of dealing with this double factor problem. Eddie is presented as someone that you don't want to be like, right? He's made to look ridiculous because he's ridiculous. Alistair is sort of the opposite version of ridiculous. Asteroid is also a really great example because there's on one hand, having a tribal identity can promote that internal sense of self but then if you over index on that it reduces your self respect.
