What Is the Benefit of L2?
Any prep out is an evolution on a proposal. It's been around for a while called no input. So what you can do is you can sign a series of transactions, then these can be essentially rebound to any previous output that makes it onto the chain. For L2, this means there's a funding output where you both put funds in at the same time and start your channel. And then once someone goes offline, you can basically put the last version of the signature you've had on chain and rebind it to that output.
