I knew that I was queer very early on in life teenage years and just unfortunately had an experience where that was not well received. And so I didn't have any confidence to actually come out at the time when I started to feel the way that I felt. So I think I just turned my brain off to all of it. But here I am now and it feels really good. You know, there are always sort of beautiful gifts that come around for those of us that had to wait a long time"
