Can We Learn From the Way That Smoking Has Been Handled?

We've had huge success in reducing smoking rates. And that hasn't happened just by people changing their choices. So we can learn a lot from the measures that are being introduced on smoking. It took 50 years from publication of key royal of college report to introduction of smoke free legislation, and many years over, gradual baby steps of implementing tobacco control policies. Government has a responsibility to act more quickly to address overweight and obesti they know what they need to do. We have a childhood abesty plan that is ready to go and has not been implemented. The first step the prime minister needs to take when he comes back is to implement the measures in there to protect children.
