Why Aren't Tours Developing Stats?

There's just no history of stat keeping in tennis. There were people compiling these databases in the 1920s. Baseball fans really care about that stuff. Tennis fans are going to see, you know, player A beat player B really badly and they're going to think for the next year, player A is a lot better. They saw it. And unless there's a giant difference in the numbers or somebody really talks them out of it, or they see another match, they're not going to change their opinion.
