The Importance of Reading Recovery in Schools
Dr. Mari Clay has had a profound influence in New Zealand schools about the teaching of reading. Reed Lyon saw heavy combat in Vietnam and was almost killed once when a piece of shrapnel just missed his head. He wanted to understand why some people struggle to learn to read like he did.
