Protests Continue at Port of Oakland, California

Port of oakland was shut down for the third day in aronow on thursdays. Truckers are protesting assembly bill five, which requires companies that hire independent contractors to re classify them as employees with some exceptions. The law would also create a challenge for independent truckers to work their own hours and earn a living if they have to become an employee. One protester who owns a trunkey company slammed newsom and told c m b c that he has refused to talk with them so he's not even opening up dialogue.
