How Can I Backdoor My Roth if I Already Have Maxed Out My Roth?
If you're over the income limit for a Roth IRA, there are ways to get around it. You have to undo what's called a return of excess contribution and then pull out any earnings from your account that were not eligible or able to put in. If you don't have any other IRAs at all, this can be done by converting non-deductible money into regular IRA balances.
