Gavin Ellis, former editor of the New Zealand Herald asked a rather bleak question in his weekly blog. He wondered about the toll that big media jobs had taken on those who had decided to quit them lately. TVNZ's chief executive Simon Power left at the end of June, and senior producer Sam Robertson also resigned recently.
