The Fed Tightens the Belt Buckle
Commercial banking lending dropped nearly $105 billion in the two weeks ending March 29th and fell by another $45 billion last week. That is well below the average gap of around 3.5%, where it's been hovering since 2008. And on Thursday, the American Bankers Association index and credit conditions fell to the lowest level in three years.
