The Benefits of Social Media for Teens

58% of adolescents interviewed reported that social media helped them feel more accepted. 71% said that social media provides them a place to show their creative side and 80% felt like they were more connected to what's going on in their friends lives. Seven out of 10 adolescent girls of color report encountering positive or identity affirming content related to race across social media platforms.
