God spoke to our ancestors by the prophets at different times and in different ways. God wasn't channeling the Holy Spirit through the writers. He super intended their writing. There's a difference between revelation and illumination. But one of the key ways you have to be careful from drifting from is when there's proper revelation, but there's bad illumination.
